Term 3, Week 4

The term is flying past...we have been doing lots of exciting things. Last week was swim week. We learnt lots of new swimming techniques, like dolphin diving. Back at school we made some swimming art work. Here is some of our work...

Our topic this term is "Rugby World Cup - Proud of who we are". Last week we have been talking about team work and how we can work as a team. We created superheroes to show that we are all different and to show that we each have different strengths and abilities.

Room 3 Update

It's the end of Term 2. The year is flying by...Room 3 has done some excellent work this term. Here is some of our artwork. We drew a sunset, mountains and the ocean. Then we coloured them in with pastels and added patterns.

Term 2 Update

It's a busy term...we have been creating artwork from recycled materials. We made bags out of old T-Shirts and we created collages out of used materials, such as newspaper, food wrapping and used paper. We made shapes as this is our maths topic at the moment.

We had our first netball session with Nicole today. We learnt lots of netball skills...

Eco Educate Trip

Last week we went to the Ashburton Recycling Centre. We learnt all about reducing, reusing and recycling. Lesley told us what materials we can reuse and recycle and what needs to go to the landfill. We learnt all about what happens to the recycling and the rubbish that ends up at the centre.

This week we had Room 6 visiting. Together we learnt about Autumn. Room 3 and Room 6 buddied up and went outside to look for interesting leaves. Together we painted the leaves practicing our painting skills. We did a great job of mixing colours together. On Friday we will turn our painted leaves into animals and other creatures.
