Term 2, Week 5

Talofa lava, Kia Ora, Malo e lelei,

welcome to week 5 of Term 2. I hope you are all doing well. Today we will hear whether we will move into Level 2 and what that means for school. We will keep you all up to date with what decisions are being made.

Here are the learning activities for this week.

Maths:

Reading:

Listen to this story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j1KS7rXyjU and answer the questions below:

1. What were all the things Crispen the dragon breathed (instead of fire)?
2. Why did Crispen feel out of place and why did he go to the cave to hide?
3. What did you notice about all the different things Crispen breathed?
4. How does the story end?

Writing:

Create another part of the story about the "Not so typical dragon" and write about what Crispen would breathe.

For example: Crispen was playing on the field with his friends, when Barry accidentally kicked the ball into the river. Crispen felt a tickling in his tummy. He felt something bouncing in his stomach. He opened his mouth, but fire did not come out. Out came soccer balls.

Remember to send photos to Miss Toder via facebook messenger or via email ines@netherby.school.nz. I would love to see the work you're doing.

Have a great week everyone :) and I will stay in touch regarding schooling at Level 2.
